This Privacy Policy describes how BRTH ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the BRTH mobile application and brth.ch website (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication method (Email, Google, or Apple).

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the Service, including session activity, feature usage, and app preferences.

Device Information

We may collect device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and improving the Service.

Audio Data

BRTH accesses your device microphone during active sessions to provide breathing feedback. Audio is processed in real-time and is not stored after your session ends. With your explicit consent, anonymized session data may be used to improve the Service.

Health Data (iOS — HealthKit)

With your permission, BRTH reads heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) data from Apple Health during breathing and meditation sessions. This data is used solely to show you how your body responds to practice. BRTH does not write data to Apple Health. Health data is never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and never sold. You can revoke access at any time in your device's Health settings.

Health Data (Android — Health Connect)

With your permission, BRTH reads heart rate and heart rate variability data from Health Connect during sessions. This data is used solely to display biometric feedback within the app. BRTH does not write data to Health Connect. Health data is never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and never sold. You can revoke access at any time in your device's Health Connect settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • To process transactions and manage your subscription
  • To send service-related communications
  • To respond to your requests and provide support

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate BRTH:

  • Firebase (Google) — Authentication and data storage. Privacy Policy
  • Stripe — Payment processing. We do not store your payment details. Privacy Policy
  • Sentry — Error monitoring and crash reporting. Sentry receives anonymized error data (stack traces, device type, OS version) to help us fix bugs. No personal data or health data is sent to Sentry. Privacy Policy

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

5. Your Rights

Under applicable law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. 6. Children

BRTH is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

7. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email.
